Stronger Together in a Dynamic Digital Landscape

Stronger Together in a Dynamic Digital Landscape

Dear valued partner,

Time flies. We have now reached the end of the first quarter of 2026. The integration and collaboration with Conscia are taking increasingly concrete shape. What began as a strategic step is clearly evolving into a strengthened combination of knowledge, scale, and execution power. During our customer day Stronger Together on March 26, we would be pleased to share more with you. The outlook is positive, and the collaboration is becoming more natural and powerful.

At the same time, the digital world remains dynamic and, at times, truly challenging. This quarter as well, we have mitigated several vulnerabilities. Often, this happens behind the scenes, without end users noticing anything—and that is exactly how it should be. Digital resilience requires constant vigilance. It is our responsibility to keep digital backdoors closed and stay ahead of risks, so your organization can continue to operate steadily.

We are also seeing significant movement within the technology landscape. Price changes, evolving partner strategies, and new functionalities are following each other in rapid succession. Together with you, we continuously seek a careful balance between innovation, continuity, and cost control. Price developments in particular—about which you will read more in this newsletter—are impacting budgets. This calls for transparency, sharp focus, and joint decisions about what is truly necessary and where optimization is possible.

For organizations within critical infrastructure, NIS2 is also rapidly approaching. This European legislation has now been firmly embedded in our Products and Services Catalog, so you do not have to reinvent the wheel for each service. In addition, we have developed a targeted approach at the executive and board level, focused on awareness and demonstrable accountability. After all, cyber resilience is not just an IT issue, but a matter of governance. Personally, I am proud of our colleagues who dedicate themselves daily to the stability and continuity of your ICT environment. Their work is often invisible, but of great importance.

I would like to give special mention to our e-Health teams. Our Multidisciplinary Consultation (MDO) as a Service is now being rolled out nationwide and directly contributes to oncology care processes—literally at the heart of healthcare. This is where technology makes an impact.

Thank you for the trust you continue to place in us. We will keep building—stronger together.

Kind regards,
Emile Stam

Workplace of Tomorrow!

Open Line expands its modern workplace portfolio with Liquidware and Recast Software

To better support customers in creating a secure, flexible, and well-managed digital workplace, Open Line has entered into a strategic partnership with Liquidware. In addition, we are in an advanced stage of establishing a partnership with Recast Software.

For years, our modern workplace concept has been the foundation for secure and manageable digital work environments. With Liquidware and Recast, we are adding complementary technologies that strengthen specific aspects of workplace management, such as application virtualization, endpoint management automation, and integration with self-service portals. This enables us to better support organizations in rapidly deploying workspaces, simplifying management, and increasing flexibility for end users.

Flexible application virtualization and deployment with Liquidware
With Liquidware solutions, organizations can deliver applications faster, more flexibly, and independently of the underlying platform. Applications are virtualized and efficiently distributed across different workplace environments, without complex installation processes or dependencies. This allows new applications to be rolled out more quickly, updates to be implemented more easily, and application management to be significantly simplified. For end users, this means always having access to the right applications, regardless of location or device.

Smarter endpoint management with Recast
Recast solutions make endpoint management more efficient, secure, and easier to control. Through additional automation, improved privilege management, and deeper integration with Microsoft Endpoint Management tooling, IT teams can simplify management processes and implement changes more quickly. This reduces manual effort and ensures a more consistent and well-controlled IT environment. In addition, Recast offers integration capabilities with various web portals used by many of our customers, enabling user processes—such as requesting software or access rights—to be handled directly from existing portals.

Building the workplace of tomorrow together
With these developments, we are further strengthening our modern workplace offering. By combining the technologies of Liquidware and Recast with Open Line’s Modern Digital Experience (MoDEx), we support organizations in building a flexible, scalable, and future-proof digital workplace.

24/7 Cyber Resilience

Conscia & Open Line: Stronger Together in Security with MDR Services

Since the acquisition by Conscia, we have been working to further strengthen our security services. Both Open Line and Conscia have strong security capabilities, including their own Security Operations Center (SOC) and managed security services. Open Line’s SOC remains an important foundation of our service delivery. At the same time, we are exploring how to combine the knowledge, technology, and services of both organizations to better protect customers against cyber threats.

One of the services we are currently exploring is Conscia’s Managed Detection & Response (MDR) service. This service focuses on 24/7 monitoring, detection, and (if desired, fully automated) response to cyber threats, where specialized security analysts and advanced tooling work together to quickly identify and mitigate incidents. Conscia’s MDR capabilities therefore form a valuable addition to Open Line’s existing security services.

For organizations in the healthcare sector, the Z-CERT MDR service is particularly relevant. This service has been developed in collaboration with Z-CERT, the cybersecurity expertise center for the Dutch healthcare sector, and focuses on threats specific to healthcare organizations.

In the coming period, we will assess how these MDR services can best be integrated into Open Line’s portfolio. As soon as more clarity is available, we will of course inform our customers. Our goal remains the same: to help organizations keep their IT environments secure and continuously available.

Decisions Make the Difference!

A word from our CISO: Resilience starts with action
We often believe we have everything well under control: backups, monitoring, contingency plans. But in a world where our core processes rely on cloud, internet, and global supply chains, our vulnerability has fundamentally changed. A single disruption can impact everything.

The real challenge does not lie in detection, but in making executive decisions in the area of prevention. For example, implementing standards for securely configuring IT assets. These standards have existed for a long time and are publicly available. The question now is: what prevents us from consistently applying them?

Cyber resilience is not an IT discussion, but a matter of governance—a question of risk management. It requires the willingness to make decisions and to ensure that those decisions are actually implemented. The difference between control and vulnerability is smaller than we think.

The gap between risk control and vulnerability is minimal. Together, we have the knowledge, the standards, and the resources. Open Line can advise and provide you with the necessary information. Please contact your Account Executive for more details.

Timely action prevents unnecessary cost increases

Microsoft pricing developments and your renewal strategy

In our previous newsletter, we informed you about Microsoft’s announced global price increase effective July 1, 2026. We are now seeing additional developments that make it important to address this topic proactively.

Microsoft has globally aligned its pricing more closely with exchange rates. For organizations purchasing in euros, this means that certain rates are currently more favorable than before. This creates a temporary window of opportunity. Organizations that renew before July 1 or strategically adjust their contract duration can lock in current rates and thereby limit the impact of the announced increase.

Even if your renewal takes place after July 1, there are still opportunities to approach the new pricing level strategically. Within the framework of the CSP model, we are happy to work with you to identify suitable solutions for your next contract period.

The message is clear: timely action prevents unnecessary cost increases. We therefore recommend actively reviewing your renewal moments and licensing structure in the coming months.

Your Account Executive will be happy to discuss what this specifically means for your organization.

From dashboards to digital colleagues

how AI is transforming work

For years, data-driven work primarily meant dashboards and reports. Data helped organizations understand what was happening in processes and performance. With the rise of generative AI, this is rapidly changing. Instead of reading reports, employees can now ask questions directly to their data. Generative AI combines information from different systems and provides immediate answers—not as static reports, but as interactive conversations. This creates a new way of working, where information becomes available faster for decision-making.

The next step is already emerging. AI is no longer just answering questions; it is increasingly supporting processes actively. This development is often referred to as agentic AI. By connecting systems and defining workflows, AI can gather information, perform analyses, and prepare or even automate process steps. Think of compiling reports, analyzing customer information, or preparing operational decisions.

AI is therefore shifting from an analysis tool to a digital assistant that actively collaborates within the organization. For organizations that have their data well in order, this next step is approaching quickly. It requires strong data management, clear data governance, and sufficient data literacy within the organization. By applying generative AI in a controlled way within your own data environment, sensitive information remains protected and it stays transparent where answers originate from. The question is no longer if AI will become part of the workplace, but how quickly organizations will learn to collaborate with their new digital colleague.

Would you like to know what this could mean for your organization? We are happy to think along with you.

#Did you know that Open Line has its own sovereign generative AI solution, enabling us to work together with our clients on concrete use cases?

New Cisco guidelines for compute quotations

In recent weeks, Cisco has shared several updates regarding pricing changes and policy adjustments as a result of the global shortage of memory components. This situation is impacting hardware availability and is forcing vendors to adapt their pricing and delivery policies to a rapidly changing market.

One key change is the shortening of price protection on quotations. For quotes that include compute hardware, the price protection period is now seven days; for quotes without compute, this remains fourteen days. In addition, promotional and programmatic discounts for compute products have been discontinued. It is also possible that existing orders may receive a “scheduling pending” status, as deliveries are being rescheduled.

According to Cisco, these measures are not a strategic choice but a result of broader market dynamics. Nearly all vendors are facing rising costs and supply chain constraints. While current communication focuses on compute, we expect similar developments to become visible in networking and security solutions as well.

We are closely monitoring these developments and will keep you informed. If you have ongoing requests or expect to submit a request soon, please feel free to contact your Account Executive.
