Newsletter December 2025
Looking back with Gratitude
As 2025 comes to an end, I look back with great gratitude on a year full of progress, collaboration, and meaningful moments. One of the steps we took this year was joining Conscia — a step we are proud of. Together, we now have an even more complete portfolio and are better prepared for the future — and that feels good.
What truly made this year impactful, however, was the departure of Jo Verstappen. Jo has meant a tremendous amount to Open Line. His dedication, his commitment, and his humanity have left a deep and lasting impression. As an organization, and certainly on a personal level as well, we are immensely grateful to him.
Gratitude may well be the key word for me this year. Grateful for our employees, who are always there — for one another, for our clients, and for the company. Grateful for the trust you place in us, day after day. And grateful for the collaboration that helps us continue to grow and improve as a service provider.
With the new year ahead, we set our sights on 2026 — a year in which we aim to keep growing, innovating, and deepening our work. For you, with you, and thanks to you.
On behalf of the entire Open Line team, proud member of Conscia, I wish you and your loved ones a warm, loving, and inspiring Christmas season.
Happy holidays and a prosperous New Year!
Warm regards, Emile Stam CEO Open Line – part of Conscia

The Lead Architect Office Introducing the Lead Architect Office
Open Line is entering a new phase in which technological direction and innovation play an even more significant role. With the departure of Jo Verstappen, a natural moment arose to further professionalize an existing structure. The Lead Architects, who for years have helped shape our technological course, are now bringing their roles together in one official and central body: the Lead Architect Office.
By formally establishing this office, we strengthen coherence, predictability, and strategic direction in our services. The Lead Architect Office develops frameworks, safeguards architectural principles, connects strategy with execution, and works closely with Conscia to leverage collective expertise and innovation.
The team consists of Roel Cranen as Chief Architect, and Marcel Huijten, Remco Ehlen, and Johny Clerkx as Lead Architects. Together, they form the core of the office and oversee the complete technological landscape on which our services are built.
With the Lead Architect Office, we are taking a proud step in further professionalizing our technological governance. As a central link with Conscia, we strengthen our shared direction and continue building a future-proof, robust, and innovative Open Line.
Moving Forward Together! Open Line Recertifies ISO 14001 and Takes Major Step in CO₂ Reduction
We are proud to announce that Open Line has once again achieved its ISO 14001 certification. This recertification confirms that we work in a structured and verifiable way on environmental management, sustainability, and reducing our ecological footprint. Through targeted measures and continuous improvement, we have again realized a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions.
This is an important milestone within our broader sustainability ambitions and highlights our responsibility toward customers, partners, and society.
ISAE 3402 Type II Report Awarded Again
In addition, Open Line has once more received the ISAE 3402 Type II report. This report confirms that our internal control measures are not only carefully designed, but have also
operated effectively throughout the entire assessment period. For you as a customer, it serves as an important assurance that our services are delivered safely, reliably, and in accordance with the highest standards.
With the renewed achievement of these certifications, Open Line continues to invest in quality, security, and sustainability.
From Policy to Proof Working Toward Demenstrably Secure Service Delivery
The past year has been filled with developments such as BIO2, Zero Trust, the AI Act, NEN7510, NIS2, API management, and an explosion of vulnerabilities and cyberattacks. Within Open Line, we create structure in this complex landscape through our Information Security (IB) Baseline, which defines the security measures all our systems must comply with. This document was recently updated by the QSP team and re-aligned with the standards frameworks used by us and our customers, such as NEN7510 and ISO27001. While these frameworks primarily describe requirements, the IB Baseline translates them into concrete, actionable measures.
We are also working on an extension that incorporates the legal requirements of NIS2/the Dutch Cybersecurity Act. In doing so, we are prioritizing a Zero Trust architecture and taking into account new developments such as API management and AI, including the requirements for the careful handling of personal data.
NIS2 furthermore requires organizations to demonstrate that documented measures actually work in practice. To support this, we are introducing the Insight Portal, which will soon be available to customer teams. This will allow them to identify and correct potential issues early, before reports are shared with customers. In this way, we ensure stronger alignment between policy, execution, and evidence.
If you would like more information on these subjects or on the implications for your own environment, please contact your Service Delivery Manager.
Microsoft CSP Services Microsoft Announces Price Increase Effective July 1, 2026
Microsoft has announced that, as of July 1, 2026, a global price increase will be implemented for various cloud and licensing products. According to Microsoft, this adjustment is necessary to align the value of their services with ongoing investments in security, artificial intelligence, and platform innovations. Organizations are making increasingly intensive use of these capabilities, prompting Microsoft to structurally revise its pricing.
For our customers, this means that products such as Microsoft 365 E3 and Microsoft 365 F3 will see price increases. Other components within the Microsoft portfolio will also be adjusted, depending on license type and usage. The exact impact varies per product and therefore per customer.
As a Trusted Cloud Provider, we closely monitor these changes and keep you informed. We are happy to discuss the specific implications for your situation and explore potential options to mitigate the cost increases. Your Account Executive is the designated point of contact to start this conversation with you.
PROUD! RSO Zuid-Limburg Begins Building Regional Data Ecosystem
RSO Zuid-Limburg has officially signed the contract with Open Line Vitaly, Better, and Enovation for the development of the regional data ecosystem. With the recent IZA funding award of 15.3 million euros, the region can now begin full execution of the project.
The new data ecosystem will enable healthcare providers to securely and uniformly share health data, despite the many different systems currently in use. As a result, information becomes available more quickly, caregivers spend less time searching or requesting data, and residents will not need to repeat their story as often.
José Strijbos, Chief Healthcare Officer (Open Line Vitaly), on behalf of the three vendors: "Our shared goal is to make health data easier to find and use, without adding extra steps to everyday care processes."
Wim Eurlings, Managing Director of RSO Zuid-Limburg: "With this signing, we can truly get to work as a region. Step by step, we are building what was agreed upon in the IZA transformation plan."
The coming period will be fully dedicated to implementation and realization, together with all involved healthcare organizations in Zuid-Limburg. We are proud to be laying, together with our partners, a foundation that will sustainably strengthen healthcare in Zuid-Limburg
