
General terms and Conditions
General terms and conditions for participation in Open Line CIO & Cyber Summit, hereinafter referred to as: the event or CCS.
Article 1: Definitions
In these general terms and conditions, the following terms have the following meanings:
Registration: Registering a Visitor on the CCS website (https://openline.nl/en/events/open-line-cio-and-cyber-summit-2024) in order to use the Service;
General conditions: The general conditions Open Line Managing Security events/meetings - visitors;
Service: The possibility to attend this event;
Visitor: Natural person, legal person or a government organization that uses the Service;
CCS: CIO & Cyber Summit (event organized by Open Line);
Agreement: Agreement between Open Line and the participant;

Article 2: Applicability
These general terms and conditions apply to all agreements that Open Line concludes with regard to the Service;
Any deviations from these general terms and conditions are only valid if explicitly agreed to in writing.
Article 3: Conclusion of the agreement
The agreement with Visitor is concluded after Open Line has accepted Visitor's registration and confirmed participation. Acceptance by Open Line is standard by email.
If the agreement is concluded electronically, the Visitor is responsible for saving and printing the general terms and conditions and the agreement and for the accessibility of this saved copy. Open Line is not obliged to keep any archived agreement accessible to visitors. Normally, these conditions are to be found on the website.
Article 4: Duration of the agreement
The agreement ends by operation of law after visiting or participating in the event.
Article 5: Travel costs, travel insurance
Visitor is not charged any entrance fees for visiting or participating in the event. However, the visitor does pay the airline ticket/travel costs to and from the event location;
If costs are due, the amount must be transferred prior to the event to a bank account designated by Open Line, unless agreed otherwise in writing;
Visitor must have their own travel insurance. Participation is at participants risk.
Article 6: Cancellation
Visitor must cancel his/her registration by e-mail. Send your email message to: marketing@openline.nl. The cancellation will be confirmed by Open Line by email.
The event is free of charge for the visitor during the program, so the following applies:
In case of cancellation <10 working days before the start of the event or on the day of the event itself, the visitor owes 100% of the participant amount of € 1.250.
In case of cancellation 10-15 working days before the start of the event, the visitor owes 75% of the participant amount of € 1.250.
In case of cancellation 15-20 working days before the start of the event, the visitor owes 50% of the participant amount of € 1.250.
If canceled >20 working days, the visitor can cancel free of charge.
The date of receiving the notice of cancellation is decisive for determining the time of cancellation.
Failure to appear at the event without prior cancellation is equivalent to cancellation on the day of the event. Visitor owes 100% of the participant amount of € 1.250.
If the Visitor is unable to attend the event or meeting him-/herself, the Visitor is authorized, in consultation with the organization, to arrange for a replacement to participate in the event/meeting.
Article 7: Force majeure
Open Line reserves the right to cancel the entire event up to 10 working days before the scheduled date of the event without Open Line being obliged to pay any compensation. Think of a too low number of registrations or the continuing of COVID-19 measures. Visitor (or replacement) will be notified of this as soon as possible. If possible, the visitor is offered an alternative date. You must cancel/rebook your trip yourself and you will not receive any compensation for this.
Open Line has the right to adjust the components of the program if they are temporarily prevented from fulfilling its obligations due to circumstances that were not expected at the time of the conclusion of the agreement and that are beyond its control. These circumstances include the circumstance that contractors of Open Line do not or not timely meet their obligations, the weather, fire, loss or theft of materials to be used, roadblocks, strikes or work stoppages, illness or absence of speakers.
Article 8: (Personal) data
In the context of the use and implementation of the Service, Open Line will process (personal) data. The processing of personal data takes place in accordance with the applicable privacy legislation. Visitor is responsible for the correctness and completeness of the (personal) data provided by him/her.
Open Line reserves the right to produce photo and video material during the event, based on the consent given with the application on the CCS website. The material can be used for commercial purposes for the purpose of informing outsiders about the event taking place. E.g. reporting on LinkedIn, the CCS website and as a news item on the Open Line website itself (www.openline.nl). If you do not wish to be included in pictures or video explicitly, please notify us in advance by sending an e-mail to marketing@openline.nl.
Article 9: Intellectual property and copyrights
All intellectual property rights that rest on or are connected to the information and/or material provided in the context of the event/meeting rest exclusively with Open Line or third parties. The information and/or material obtained from Open Line is exclusively intended for the Visitor's own use. Visitor is not permitted to reproduce or disclose the information and/or material obtained in any way wholly or in part, except with the prior written permission of the entitled party or parties.
The copyrights that rest on the image and/or sound material in the context of the (digital) event/ meeting are held by Open Line or third parties. In no way are the intellectual property rights, including copyrights, transferred to Visitor.
The Visitor acknowledges the rights referred to in the first and second paragraphs and will refrain from any infringement of these rights of forfeiting an immediately due and payable fine of € 500 for each violation and every week that the violation continues, without prejudice, the right of Open Line to recover the actual damage suffered from the participant.
Article 10: Special provisions
In addition, the Visitor must follow instructions from employees of Open Line in the context of the event/meeting.
Failure to follow the above instructions may result in removal from the event/meeting.
